Starting from My Tea Plantation
Good Cycle!
What is the Tea Party Movement?
Organic and natural cultivation.
Tea plantation in the only village in Kyoto Prefecture.

Organic and naturally grown tea plantations are nurtured in a rich environment and by the power of the soil. We do not use any chemical fertilizers. Only a little organic fertilizer is used. With a population of only 2,800, this is a famous production area for Uji tea. The tea plantation is located in Minamiyamashiro Village, the only village in Kyoto Prefecture.

The tea produced in the area is located at an altitude of 500 to 640 meters above sea level. Because of the high altitude, the winter period is about a month longer than in other areas and there are extra fallow days. The tea leaves therefore contain a very high amount of minerals, which is said to produce a good quality tea with a strong aroma and a smooth taste.

As the project progresses, we aim to expand the project not only to this region but also to other prefectures in Japan.

What is “My Tea Plantation” Owner?

You will own a plot of tea plantation for one year. The daily care of the tea plantation will be taken care of with care and attention by the tea farm. As a tea farm owner, you will receive freshly harvested tea three times a year. We will also provide you with opportunities to see how the tea farm is managed on a regular basis.

This system allows producers to anticipate sales, reduce risk, hire young people, and train their successors. It also builds face-to-face relationships between the local community and the city, between producers and consumers, and between the various people and information that gather there.

*Ownership of the farmland will not be transferred to the owners. The tea plantation will be shared by multiple owners. The tea farm ownership system is not an investment product.

A New Era of Shared Tea Plantations

What we are seeking is a new way of tea farming. How to maintain Japanese agriculture? How to protect depopulated areas? And how do we circulate it? We will expand our vision to include initiatives such as regional development.

The Tea Party Movement is a project using abandoned or to-be-abandoned land. The project started in 2021.

We rent abandoned or to-be-abandoned land of local tea farmers with funds entrusted to us by tea farm owners. We produce and operate the tea farm from production to harvest on that tea farm.

The goal is to turn the cycle of production and consumption by sharing various values with everyone.

This is what the Tea Party Movement proposes: “A Good Cycle Started from My Tea Plantation.
